Data & Citations

Every release is a citable, permanent object.

Each public Certvas sample is archived on Zenodo with a DOI — an immutable, versioned scholarly record. Cite the exact point-in-time dataset you used, and your citation keeps resolving long after the next release ships.

DOIs are minted free via Zenodo/DataCite. Metadata is CC0; the data keeps its own license (see Trust & provenance).

Why it matters

Point-in-time data needs a point-in-time citation.

Immutable versions

A published DOI never changes. When we refresh the data, the new release gets its own version DOI — your prior citation still resolves to the data you actually used.

One concept, all versions

A single concept DOI always resolves to the latest version; each release also has its own version DOI. Cite the version for reproducibility, the concept for “latest”.

Reproducible research

Every value carries its source_ref and observed_at. A reviewer can fetch the exact DOI'd release and re-run your analysis on the same bytes.

Each row links to the version DOI (the exact dataset) and the concept DOI (always the latest version). A machine-readable CITATION.cff ships inside every release bundle.

No DOI'd release is listed yet. Rows appear here automatically when the founder runs make release SKU=<x> PUBLIC=1. Until then, free open samples are on Kaggle and Hugging Face.
